I have a Master's Degree in Education from the University of Maine.
I work at High Level Marketing as a Content Marketing Associate.
I enjoy having a creative outlet in my work in marketing. I also enjoy the improved work-life balance over my previous career as a teacher as I currently work remotely.
I'm an only child with an elderly parent, who is also a cancer survivor. I want to remain close enough to provide the care they need as they get older. I currently live 4 hours from them which provides me enough distance to have my own life while still being able to be there if needed.
In early 2020, my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer. I left teaching to care for her during her treatment. Then, COVID hit. I didn't want to go back to teaching during the pandemic so looked into other options. I had previous experience teaching web design, social media, and technology in AmeriCorps, which helped me to make a career change into marketing.
I’ve worked in the in-house setting for two different companies within the technology industry, but I enjoy working in the agency setting, as I’ve now worked for two separate marketing agencies.
