We are excited to be able to offer five pop-up Girls Who Code summer camps across Maine this summer thanks to generous sponsors, partners, volunteers and facilitators. Our Girls Who Code camps are week-long, half-day experiences that expose and excite young people to coding. We are lucky to have such amazing partners like The Magic Lantern Innovation Center, The Roux Institute, Gateway Opportunity Services and Somerset Career & Technical Center willing to host these FREE camps.
Thank you to United Way of Southern Maine's Brick & Beam Society, HighByte, Wex, IDEXX, Systems Engineering, the Foundation for Portland Public Schools and Educate Maine for supporting the summer camps. We are so grateful to the facilitators and volunteers committed to the success of these summer camp experiences.
Teachers from area schools interested in launching Girls Who Code clubs back at their schools or afterschool programs this fall are also invited to join us for their community week and receive professional development and resources.
