Project>Login, a program of Educate Maine has been focusing on developing signature offerings for teachers, administrators and support staff at Maine’s middle and high schools to support integrating Computer Science into schools both as a formal class experience by offering high quality Professional Development through Code.org, district CSforALL SCRIPT CS education pathway planning workshops, and also in an extra-curricular capacity by helping to expand more Girls Who Code clubs across Maine.

 

This session will cover the different professional development opportunities for middle school teachers, high school teachers and administrators as well as provide a brief description of each professional learning program course (CS Discoveries, CS Principles and AP CSA), explain how a two-day CSforALL CS Pathway visioning and goal setting session follows the evidence-based SCRIPT protocol and shares the facilitator supports available to launch and run a Girls Who Code club at your school. We may demo tools utilized in SCRIPT workshop, share the partner playbook for GWC and discuss professional learning programs with time for Q&A.
