Today, Code.org, the Computer Science Teachers Association, and the Expanding Computing Education Pathways (ECEP) Alliance released the 2020 State of Computer Science Education: Illuminating Disparities. The report describes the policy trends and momentum over the past 12 months and includes an in-depth view of each state’s policy and implementation, as well as data on disparities in access to and participation in computer science.

Maine Department of Education launches MOOSE platform

Did you know the Maine Department of Education is providing free online learning modules for students pre-k through 12? Educators from around the state spent time this summer to develop phase one of the Maine Online Opportunities for Sustained Education (MOOSE) platform. Each MOOSE module is project-based and designed to be completed independently and self-paced. Additional phases of the MOOSE platform will roll out over the next school year. 2020 Maine App Challenge Winners Announced

Tyler Technologies, Inc. announced today that three tech-savvy high school students from Maine were recently selected as winners of the 2020 Tyler Technologies Maine App Challenge, a contest that encourages students to develop a mobile application and create a video to showcase their design.
